Jerry Walters began playing golf at the age of 8. Although technology has improved significantly over the years, his game, remarkably, has remained stagnant. He has worked with players on both the PGA Tour and Nationwide Tour for a putter manufacturer, writes for Colorado AvidGolfer magazine and Divot Magazine and has been a course-rating panelist for Golf Digest magazine. Walters’ highest achievements have been when he was recognized as the Media Person of the Year for both the Colorado Golf Association (2001, 2011) and the Colorado Section of the PGA (2003). He has been in the golf media since 1993, hosting golf talk shows at other stations and co-hosting a television show on a local cable network. When asked what his long-term goals were, his reply was “to have a sandwich named after him and to get in as many FREE rounds of golf as possible.” Lofty. |
